Theo swears by boss Arsene

THEO WALCOTT reckons manager Arsene Wenger has the F-Factor.

And he claims the Arsenal chief's shock swearing outburst this week merely showed his passion for success.

Bookish Wenger blew up when asked about injury-jinxed Walcott's prospects of playing for England at next summer's World Cup finals, barking: "For f***'s sake, the World Cup is not until June."

And Walcott, 20, said: "It is very surprising to hear that but the boss is very passionate and just wants to show everyone he is not so quiet.

"He loves his job and is showing his passion for the game and how well he wants us to do this year. He shows tremendous respect for all the players and we respect him. He is always behind us and looking after us.

"He has brought us some brilliant players over the years and we have a great bunch here. He is trying to stick us all together. You want to play well for your country and the World Cup will come if you have a great season.

"The best way is just to take every game as it comes because you never know what will happen.

"You could have a great season, get injured at the end of it and miss out. So I am just going to concentrate on every single game and see where it takes me."

Walcott's persistent injury niggles have seen him clock just 103 minutes in an Arsenal shirt this season.

Wenger blasted the FA for overworking his protege during the summer with the England Under-21s.

But Walcott's half-hour against Standard Liege on Tuesday lifted the mood at the Emirates as the Gunners qualified for the Champions League knockout stages. Walcott added: "The knee feels fine. I haven't felt it at all. Hopefully I'll gradually build up by coming off the bench and get a start some time.

"You'll have to ask the boss if I'm ready to start against Chelsea on Sunday. but I feel as sharp as ever."
