Well what can i say, being an Arsenal Fan my opinion maybe slightly biased (just a little bit!!!) Yet having a DVD to watch to remind me of that superb run that started on May 7 at Highbury against Southhampton. Which continued for the next 17 months and ended on October 23 at Old Trafford! :(
I remember at the beginning of the season 02/03 Arsene Wenger claimed that his team could go throughout a season Unbeaten! This was an extravagent claim and unfortunately proved to be wrong! Little did Arsene Wenger and Arsenal Supporters know that they only had to wait till next season for this dream to be realised. And this dream was over a hundred years in the making. This DVD includes all the games of that season which makes this DVD even more treasured.Included in the DVD are all the goals scored by Henry and team mates aswell as all the goals against Arsenal. With some entertaining commentry by the sports commentators which include "here comes the Arsenal sprint relay squad" , "this is a team that look week after week like champions... it's not 5 past 3 yet the clock needs to catch up", "do they (Arsenal) do ordinary"
Supporters and Pundits comments are added inbetween each game and a mention's Brian Clough who attended an early game in the run. It was Brian Clough's Nottingham Forrest's run of 42 games that was to be overcome, and sadly although Brian Clough was alive to see the record broken he died before Arsenal was finally beaten so never knew what the record would be set at!!!The games included are the miss by Ruud van Nistlerooy from the penalty spot, the game against Fulham where Van De Saar made headlines as "Van De Star" and the cheeky back heel by Henry! Great Memories! The most memorable game for me was the 5 - 0 win against Leeds in which Henry scored four goals including the forth in which he was falling over!
After living now through a less than memorable season it is good to watch this to remind myself how good we can be and what the future at the new Emirrates Stadium 'will be' like. I know this is optomistic, but then i am a Gooner!
